Anthony Teasdale

Anthony Teasdale is Visiting Professor in Practice at the European Institute of the London School of Economics (LSE) and Adjunct Professor at the School for International and Public Affairs (SIPA) of Columbia University, New York.​

From 2013 to 2022, he was Director General of the European Parliamentary Research Service (EPRS), the European Parliament’s in-house research center and think tank in Brussels.  He was previously political advisor to a UK Foreign Secretary (Sir Geoffrey Howe) and Chancellor of the Exchequer (Kenneth Clarke) at the Foreign Office and HM Treasury in London.​He is co-author of The Penguin Companion to European Union (2012) and of Europe: The History of a Continent (2023).
